Here at Blunt Productions we like to give ourselves a challenge and so we’ve decided to set the task of building a full robot suit. This will be an ongoing process so be sure to return to see our progress. Our original Robots for some of our first Blunt films consisted of wrapping tinfoil around an actor’s face. This can be witnessed in our Film Making Tip on computers.

Ignore the advice on computers as it’s woefully out of date. You probably couldn’t even buy a computer with so little memory these days but the good news is people are throwing these things away now so it does give those without any money the chance to get onboard the computer boat (sorry about the analogy).
In trying to move away from the silver foil I’ve been looking around and I came across this website http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com/robot-costume.html.

It showcases peoples home made robots. A lot of them are very fifties retro design which I like but I’d also like our robot to have a dash of Japanese Toy Robot. Here are some quick doodles of my first ideas.
Unfortunatly I don’t think having cylindryical heads will be a good thing as it might be difficult to find something that shape.

See how we progressed from silver foil to a proper mask in the next entry of build a robot suit here.
