Happy Birthday, --m

A quick note to say Happy 1st Birthday to little --m, which was on the 28th.
We had a small party for him and he seemed to enjoy it, though was a bit mystified at the whole singing and cake business until he got some cake in his gob and suddenly realised that birthdays are OK. He went on to climb onto the table in search for more cake, eventually stealing ---y's piece which she didn't seem to mind.
For his main present he got a big plastic car which he can sit and ride around on. ---y immediately took it away from him and played with it with her friend ---l. He watched them for a bit then played with the box it came in. All part of being a second child, I suppose.
