SHHH HITS LONDON AND SCOOPS THREE NOMINATIONS AT LSFF

01:07:2008
'Shhh' our latest film in the 'Jim and Heinz' series, is set to storm the The 5th London Short Film Festival with a record THREE nominations for prizes: The UK film Council award for best film, the Vauxhall VX Auteur award for Personal Vision in Film and Darryl’s Award for Best Low Budget Film.
In addition to this, the one minute version of 'Shhh' recently won the latest ‘Renderyard 1 minute film challenge’ (obviously you can’t have too little of a good thing)
‘Shhh’ tells the story of Vienna resident Heinz, who enlists the help of his friend Jim to track down the source of the strange noises that seem to be coming from his walls. An escalating flat-wrecking spree ensues.
‘Shhh’ is entirely dialogue free and is made of 332 still images. It’s like Coppola’s ‘The Conversation’ starring Laurel and Hardy as viewed in the kind of low frame rate stutter that internet video was good at in 1996. Despite this, it is very funny.
Shhh is 4 minutes long and features Peter Waldeck, Ben Slotover and Paul Elliott.
It was written by Austrian playwright Peter Waldeck and Director Ben Slotover.
Cunning image manipulation and effects were done by actor and artist Paul Elliott.
